Statement By: Education Commissioner Dr. Eric J. Smith Regarding State Board of Education member Linda Taylor’s dedicated service to the students of Florida

“Linda Taylor’s leadership and commitment as a member of the State Board of Education have provided the students of Florida a voice and champion for all educational matters. She has worked tirelessly to advance the quality of education in our schools, and her service on the board has been characterized by her steadfast leadership to ensure that every child is provided with opportunities for academic success. She is a true education advocate and although her tenure with the board is ending, her accomplishments and her legacy will continue for generations to come.”
