Education Commissioner to Attend Florida’s Virtual Education National Recognition Event
TALLAHASSEE – Education Commissioner Dr. Eric J. Smith tomorrow will join Julie Young, president and CEO of Florida Virtual School, and Cathilea Robinett, executive vice president for the Center for Digital Education to honor Florida’s virtual education program.
Over the past 11 years, Florida Virtual School has delivered more than 530,000 courses to students across the state and has grown to be an industry leader. The fully accredited school offers more than 90 middle and high school courses that are taught by the 530 subject-certified Florida teachers.
