Regarding State Board of Education Member Donna Callaway’s Resignation from the Board and New Role as Principal of Raa Middle School in Leon County

“Donna Callaway has been an integral part of the State Board of Education for a number of years, and has dedicated herself to Florida’s children. I have respected her professionalism, wisdom and candor in education policy matters. Her decision to return to Raa Middle School in Tallahassee, Fla., is a true testament to her commitment to the students of Florida. Our education system has been privileged with her service on the State Board of Education, and I am encouraged that a great leader will take the reins at Raa Middle School.”
