State Board of Education to Meet in Tampa

The State Board of Education meeting will be held tomorrow in Tampa. Prior to the meeting, board members will participate in a workshop addressing "The State of Teacher Quality and Supply in Florida." The workshop will include workforce projections for 2007-2008, teacher compensation, effectiveness and preparation. The workshop will begin at 9 a.m.

The State Board will address the following topics:

• Approval of STAR (Performance Pay) Plan: Hillsborough County
• Update on Baccalaureate Degrees
• Update on Action Plans for Repeating F Schools
