Education Commissioner Winn Announces Florida Education Foundation Appointments
TALLAHASSEE Education Commissioner John L. Winn today announced appointments to the Florida Education Foundation board of directors: Kim Long, Chief Executive Officer of the Fun Time Early Childhood Academy, Inc.; Mike Jennings, Vice President of Government Affairs in the Southeast Region for Prudential Financial; Dominic Calabro, President and Chief Executive Officer of Florida TaxWatch; and Emily Rogers, Senior Vice President of IEG Advisory Services. The members will serve two-year terms.
The Florida Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit charitable corporation established to support K-12 public schools. The Foundation partners with local, state and national businesses to help fund programs that advance education in Florida and serve as a direct support organization for the Florida Department of Education. The Foundation is committed to educational reform initiatives that lead to higher student achievement.
