Governor Bush to Speak at Koret Task Force Press Conference
Governor Jeb Bush will speak Tuesday at a press conference in Orlando with the Koret Task Force regarding K-12 Education. The Koret Task Force will present its findings and recommendations following a nine-month review of Florida's education policies and programs.
Governor Bush will be joined by State Board of Education Chairman Philip Handy, Education Commissioner John Winn, K-12 Public School Chancellor Cheri Pierson Yecke, Deputy Commissioner for Accountability, Research and Measurement Hanna Skandera, Hoover Institution Executive Director John Raisian and Koret Task Force Member Paul E. Peterson.
The Koret Task Force is a team of education experts whose purpose is to evaluate and examine current reform measures in order to enhance the quality of K-12 education. The task force was initiated by the Hoover Institution, a public policy research center.
