Commissioner Winn to Visit Lauderhill Paul Turner Elementary School

LAUDERHILL — Education Commissioner John L. Winn Monday will visit Lauderhill Paul Turner Elementary School in Lauderhill. During 2006, Lauderhill Paul Turner Elementary School improved its school grade from a "C" to an "A". The visit is part of Commissioner Winn's back to school tour of schools statewide. Commissioner Winn will be joined by Florida State Representative Ellyn Setnor Bogdanoff, Florida State Representative Susan K. Goldstein, K-12 Public Schools Chancellor Cheri Pierson Yecke, Ph.D., City of Lauderhill Vice Mayor Dale V.C. Holness, Broward County Public Schools Superintendent Frank Till, Broward County School Board Chairman Benjamin J. Williams, and Urban League of Broward County President Germaine Smith Baugh, Ph.D.
