Department of Education to Hold Media Briefing Following Release of FCAT and NAEP Science Scores

The Department of Education will hold a media briefing tomorrow via conference call to discuss the release of the 2006 Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test science scores for fifth, eighth and 11th grades and the National Assessment of Educational Progress science scores for fourth and eighth grade.

Participating in the call will be:

  • Florida Education Commissioner John L. Winn
  • Deputy Commissioner of Accountability, Research and Measurement Hanna Skandera
  • Office of Assessment and School Performance Administrator Cornelia Orr, Ph.D.
  • Director of K-12 Assessment and School Performance Kris Ellington
  • NAEP Coordinator for Florida Michele Sonnenfeld
