Florida Celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week

TAMPA — Education Commissioner John L. Winn, State Board of Education member Kathleen Shanahan and K-12 Public School Chancellor Cheri Pierson Yecke tomorrow will visit Twin Lakes Elementary School in Tampa in celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week. This is the fourth day of a week-long celebration recognizing Florida's more than 180,000 teachers.

The celebration will be at:

The Florida Education Foundation has partnered with businesses throughout the state to offer special deals and discounts to Florida's teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week, as well as throughout the year. Some of the offers include promotions from Macy's, Wet and Wild, Rack Room Shoes, Medieval Times, Wannado City, Bealls, and Borders Books.
