Florida Celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week

CORAL GABLES — Just Read, Florida! Director Mary Laura Openshaw tomorrow will visit George Washington Carver Elementary School in Miami-Dade County in celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week. The school will hold a Teacher Appreciation Pep Rally as part of a week-long celebration recognizing Florida's more than 180,000 teachers.

The celebration will be at:

The Florida Education Foundation has partnered with businesses throughout the state to offer special deals and discounts to Florida's teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week, as well as throughout the year. Some of the offers include promotions from Macy's, Wet and Wild, Rack Room Shoes, Medieval Times, Wannado City, Bealls, and Borders Books.
