Department of Education to Hold Media Briefing Regarding Pay for Performance Plan Value Neutral Table

The Department of Education will hold a media briefing tomorrow by conference call to explain the value-neutral table that will be used in the pay for performance plan to reward high-performing teachers.

Participating in the call will be:

• Florida Education Commissioner John Winn
• K-12 Public Schools Chancellor Cheri Pierson Yecke, Ph. D.
• Deputy Commissioner of Accountability, Research and Measurement Hanna Skandera
• Director of Evaluation and Reporting Christy Hovanetz Lassila, Ph. D.

The conference call will be held:
Wednesday, April 5, 2006
12 - 1 p.m. (EST)
