Florida Department of Education to Hold Media Briefing Regarding Florida's Growth Model for NCLB

The Florida Department of Education will hold a media briefing tomorrow by conference call to discuss Florida's proposal to pilot a "growth model" for Adequate Yearly Progress under No Child Left Behind. The proposal will be submitted to the U. S. Department of Education tomorrow. Participating in the call will be:

• Florida Education Commissioner John L. Winn
• Deputy Commissioner of Accountability, Research and Measurement Hanna Skandera

The conference call will be held:
Friday, February 17, 2006
