Education Commissioner to Visit Ben Hill Griffin, Jr. Elementary School
Education Commissioner John Winn will visit Ben Hill Griffin, Jr. Elementary School in Frostproof tomorrow to present the Milken National Educator Award to an outstanding Florida teacher. Winn will be joined by Milken Family Foundation Executive Vice President for Education Dr. Lewis Solmon.
Please note that the award is a surprise to the school and the recipient, whose name will not be revealed until it is announced during an assembly at the school.
The visit will take place at:

The Milken Family Foundation National Educator Awards were established in 1985 to reward, retain, and attract outstanding K-12 educators to the profession. As part of the largest teacher recognition program in the U.S., each Milken award recipient receives a $25,000 unrestricted financial prize.
