Board of Governors Chairperson Roberts to Give Commencement Address
Florida Board of Governors Chairperson Carolyn Roberts will give the Florida State University commencement address tonight in Tallahassee. She will speak to approximately 1,300 graduates at commencement exercises that begin at 7:30 p.m.
"Florida's university graduates have more opportunity than ever before to realize their dreams right here in their home state," Chairperson Roberts said. "Florida is expanding in exciting ways that mean more jobs and a promising future for its citizens."
Florida's graduates will face a healthy economy and an expanding job market that, for many months, has led the nation in job creation. The unemployment rate continues to drop and has been significantly below the national average for almost two years. Statewide, the number of Florida public university graduates has increased more than fifteen percent since 1999.
The commencement will take place at:
7:30 p.m.
