Education Commissioner Jim Horne to Kick off Teacher Appreciation Week With Visits to Orange Park Schools

TALLAHASSEE — Education Commissioner Jim Horne will kick off teacher appreciation week with visits to three Orange Park schools on Monday. National Teacher Appreciation Week is May 2-9, 2004. Horne will step into the classroom and teach a civics lesson at Orange Park Elementary School, a tradition he has been carrying on as a parent there for a decade — since his children began attending the school. He will also visit with the teacher of the year at each of the three schools.

The school visits will take place:
