K12 Education Chancellor Jim Warford To Visit Campbell Park Elementary
Warford will read to students, visit a classroom, then meet with community
leaders and highlight the importance of Black History Month
ST PETERSBURG K12 Education Chancellor Jim Warford will visit Campbell Park Elementary in St. Petersburg tomorrow morning. County Commissioner Calvin Harris and Front Porch Florida Community Liaison Lolita Dash will join him on the visit.
Chancellor Warford will read a book to the Campbell Park student body from the campus television studio, which will be broadcast into each classroom. Local community leaders will also participate in the visit.

Following the reading, Chancellor Warford will visit a classroom and ask students questions about the book, take a tour of the school's Marine Science Lab, and go to the Media Center to discuss the importance of reading, closing the achievement gap, and the impact of black history.
Campbell Park Elementary is a racially diverse school of approximately 450 students. A Title I school, with more than 50% of students eligible for free or reduced-price lunch, Campbell Park has improved from a "D" to a "B."
