Education Commissioner Jim Horne and State Board of Education Chairman Phil Handy to Visit Winter Park Ninth Grade Center
TALLAHASSEE Education Commissioner Jim Horne and State Board of Education Chairman Phil Handy will visit Winter Park Ninth Grade Center tomorrow to present the Milken Educator Award to an outstanding Florida teacher.
Please note that the presentation is a surprise to the recipient, whose name will not be revealed until it is announced during an assembly at the school.
The visit will take place at:

The Milken Family Foundation National Educator Awards were established in 1985 to reward, retain and attract outstanding K-12 educators to the profession. As part of the largest teacher recognition program in the U.S., each Milken award recipient receives a $25,000 unrestricted financial prize.
