Education Commissioner Jim Horne to visit Howard Middle School
Horne will team up with Florida Hospital, the Florida Citrus Sports Foundation and the Dairy Council of Florida to encourage reading and teach about childhood obesity through "Newspapers in Education"

ORLANDO — Education Commissioner Jim Horne will participate in a "Newspapers in Education" event in Orlando today. He will team up with Florida Hospital, the Florida Citrus Sports Foundation and the Dairy Council of Florida to encourage middle school students to read and teach them about childhood obesity. The students will read the Orlando Sentinel, create a food pyramid with newspaper clippings, then use the pyramid to create a daily diet recommendation for a college football player.
