Horne will be joined by Seminole County Superintendent Bill Vogel.
The visit will take place at:

Research shows that children who do not continue to read while on vacation risk losing any progress they have made during the school year. The website, unveiled by Horne in Jacksonville last week, provides tips for parents, links to local libraries, and recommended reading by grade level with holiday themes such as Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Ramadan. For more information, please visit www.justreadfamilies.org/fortheholidays.
Hamilton Elementary School, a diverse, high-poverty school, has been awarded a "Reading First" grant. The school used research based instruction to make steady improvement in their school grades (from a "D" in 1998-99 to a "C" in 2000-01 to a "B" last year). The school's volunteer program, "Hamilton Helpers," earned the school recognition as the number one parental involvement school in the state. For more information on Hamilton Elementary, please contact Principal Nan Parker at (407) 320-6050.
