Chancellor for K-12 Public Schools Jim Warford to Tour Struggling Schools in Miami

MIAMI — Chancellor for K-12 Public Schools Jim Warford will visit five struggling schools in Miami on the first day of school. The Chancellor will greet students as they arrive, tour and observe classrooms, and visit with staff and administration. Each of the five schools has received an "F" grade in two out of the four past school years and will participate in the Department of Education's Assistance Plus program under Governor Bush's A+ Plan.

The tour will take place Monday, August 25, 2003 at:
