Education Commissioner Jim Horne to Visit Families Building Better Readers Workshop in Miami

Education Commissioner Jim Horne, Chancellor of K-12 Public Schools Jim Warford, and other education officials will visit the Families Building Better Readers parent workshop in Miami this evening. The workshops, held throughout the state this summer, give parents of third grade students who may be retained because they did not demonstrate basic skills in the reading portion of the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) tools for helping their children improve their reading skills.
