Great Florida Teach-In to Take Place in Orlando June 16-18, 2003

The 26th annual Great Florida Teach-In, a teacher recruitment fair sponsored by the Florida Department of Education, will take place in Orlando this week. More than 1,600 candidates have pre-registered for the Teach-In. The event will take place over three days at:

Members of the media should check in upon arrival at the school district registration table in the Paradise Foyer. The onsite Florida Department of Education contact is: Ava Byrne, Bureau of Educator Recruitment and Professional Development.

The schedule for the Teach-In is as follows:

Monday, June 16, 2003
9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Registration in the Paradise Foyer
12 noon - 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Teach-In Orientation Sessions in Pelican B
9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
School District Exhibit Booths Open in the Florida West Hall

Tuesday, June 17, 2003
