2003 All-Florida Academic Team to be honored Thursday in Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE — Education Commissioner Jim Horne and Community College Chancellor J. David Armstrong Jr. will recognize the 2003 All-Florida Academic Team during a special program March 27 at 11 a.m. in the Florida State University Turnbull Center for Professional Development, 555 W. Pensacola St., in Tallahassee.

The All-Florida Academic Team consists of 118 students from Florida’s community college system and Florida College, a private institution. These students will be recognized for academic excellence and community service. Each student was nominated by his or her college for the All-USA Academic Team, the national team sponsored by USA Today and Phi Theta Kappa.

The Florida Community College System, Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society and AIG-VALIC will host the event.
