Governor Bush to Announce Partnership With Higher Education to Help Laid-off Workers Find Jobs
Governor Jeb Bush will announce a significant new partnership with universities, and community colleges, and vocational technical centers that will mobilize education and workforce resources to assist laid-off workers in regaining employment. The Governor will make the announcement at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Emerging Technology Center of the Americas (ETCOTA) on Thursday in Miami.
The ETCOTA is a new information technology center at the Miami-Dade Community College Wolfson Campus. Governor Bush will participate in the press conference on the 11th floor and will then take part in the groundbreaking ceremony on the first floor of the building. Also joining the Governor will be Secretary of Education Jim Horne, Commissioner of Education Charlie Crist, and Interim Chancellor of the Division of Community Colleges David Armstrong.
