The Dale Hickam Excellent Teaching Program
Teachers completing the national board certification process receive 10% of the average state teacher’s salary - a bonus of $3,820 this year - to be awarded every year for up to 10 years as long as the teacher remains in the profession.
This year this bonus was combined with a one time additional bonus of $500.00. And that’s not all!
If after becoming certified, you choose to be a teacher mentor and dedicate 12 days or more to this, you will be granted an additional bonus same as the one above: 10% of the average teacher’s salary.
Each year that you mentor this increase will be awarded.
