Charter School Application
The new charter school application period ended on August 1, 2008. The FSEC received a total of 54 new charter school applications representing 20 counties in Florida. The applications were screened for completeness and mailed to evaluators.- New Applications Received (Word, )
Application review and evaluation timeline
- September 18 – 19 – applicants informed of Interview status
- September 22-26 and October 1-3 – Capacity Interviews conducted in Orlando for applications meeting threshold requirements
- September 25 to October 31 – development of FSEC recommendations
- November 12 - Applicants informed of application status
Cosponsor application
- Cosponsor application period will open on December 1, 2008 - January 30, 2009. More information forthcoming.
