The 2013 All-Florida Academic Team

The 2013 All-Florida Academic Team was comprised of 122 students from the Florida College System and three students attending institutions affiliated with the Independent Colleges and University of Florida (ICUF). PTK distinguished 30 students by selecting them to the First Team based on rating in competition with students throughout the state. List of these teams (PDF, 72KB)

In conjunction with PTK, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation each year sponsors the Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team. In 2013, 10 students from the All-Florida Academic Team were awarded scholarships by Coca-Cola:

Coca-Cola Gold Scholars (received $1,500 scholarship)
  • Rachel Andrews - Pensacola State College
  • Casey Covel - Brevard Community College
  • Stephanie Kupiec - Palm Beach State College
  • Kim Stingo - Palm Beach State College
Coca-Cola Silver Scholars (received $1,250 scholarship)
  • Susan Cabrera - Hillsborough Community College
  • Christine Gambino - State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota
  • Madeline Heath - State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota
  • Jacob Wilson - Polk State College
Coca-Cola Bronze Scholars (received a $1,000 scholarship)
  • Andres Roque - Miami Dade College
  • Maria Thurber - St. Petersburg College

In addition, Coca-Cola also names a New Century Scholar from each state. This student receives a $2,000 scholarship for having the highest application score in his or her class. The 2013 New Century Scholar representing Florida was Ashley Young from Hillsborough Community College.
