Updates to the 2005-2006 Version of FASTER

This document lists the updates that have been made to the FASTER system since the release of the manual.

As of Jan 25, 2006 -

Added edit to require P07 Degree records for transcripts sent to Inst number 89 Teacher Certification Office

Added ISO Country codes: CD for Congo, Democratic Republic and MK for Macedonia (family of Yugoslav Republic of)

Removed ISO Country code: FX for France

Changed ISO Country code: CS to mean Serbia and Montenegro

As of Feb 7, 2006 -

Added RB (Serbia) to list of foreign country codes on ATTACHMENT 2 TO FORMAT T1

As of March 16, 2006 -

Added new Differentiated Diploma type 2 (Career Education Certification) to I/S01

As of April 5, 2006 -

Changed Immunization code for Meningitis to V (I/S02 and P08 records)

Expanded Immunization codes for Hepatitis B to code J for 3 doses, and M for 2 doses

As of April 18, 2006 -

Expanded language code JC to include Patwa

Added language code KZ for Kpell (Guerze)

As of April 24, 2006 -

Added WAP (FCAT) writing subtests to I/S08 record (appx8b):

W1 Writing Focus WR FOCUS

W2 Writing Organization WR ORG

Added P03 Course Type K for AICE credit (Advanced International Certificate of Education)

As of May 5, 2006 -

Modified language code list in ATTACHMENT 1 TO FORMAT T1 (I/S01 record) as follows:

- deleted IB/Inupik

- changed code for Inupiak from IK to IB

- added KW/Koyukon

Added PI as valid testscore type for WAP test (I/S08 record and appx R)

As of June 1, 2006 -

The UT Server will no longer send SPEEDE transcripts to institutions that are not encryption compliant, as of 5/30/2006. Modified Participant File definition (appx K) fields SPEEDE and ExPRESS status. Value 'T' now means "Sending and receiving test/Not yet encryption compliant"

As of June 27, 2006 -

Added course 8111520 to list for I/S04 course flag ‘7’ substitutions.

As of August 11, 2006 -

Added 3 tests codes to Attachment 1 of I/S08 test format, including BSI, CEL, and ECH.

Added subject codes for BSI, CEL and ECH tests to Attachment 2 of I/S08 test format.

As of September 6, 2006 -

Added B14 reject code to appendix D.

As of September 13, 2006 -

Added Expanded edit of I01 migrant term to include d and e.

Changed I/S08 score type edit to allow 'os' (observed score) on any test, per H. McLeod.

As of October 4, 2006 -

Corrected error on value '1' of Resident Status, which should translate to out-of-county, not out-of-country. Also added new values: 6-Adult Student:In-state evacuee and 7-Adult Student:Out-of-state evacuee.

As of October 9, 2006 -

Added B15 reject code to appendix D.
