1. Record Type: I01 - Items 1-39, 44, 50-55, and 58-68 are valid for interdistrict record and Bright Futures record transfer.
    S01 - Items 1-12, 16, 19d-19g 19h, 21, 23-30, 33-35, 40-55, 57, 58-68 are valid for transcripts and Bright Futures record transfer. If this is an Outstanding High School Juniors transmission to the Florida Board of Regents (Message Type of A02 on the Header Record), only the following data items will be transmitted by the system: 1, 2, 4, 5, 9, 11, 12, 21, 55, and 56.
2. Transfer one record per student.
3. The presence of LOW-VALUES in data fields causes significant problems for several institutions in the receipt of student records. Please use some other appropriate character (e.g., SPACES) with which to initialize your records before sending them.

The Grade Point Average State, Cumulative is used to determine if the student has met the state high school graduation requirements of a minimum of 24 credits and a 1.5 GPA based on a 4.0 scale. This grade point average will be calculated by assigning quality points of "A" = 4, "B" = 3, "C" = 2, "D" = 1, "F" = 0, "Incomplete" = 0 to the letter grades assigned to courses completed in grades 6-12 for credit toward graduation ("+" and "-" signs will be ignored).

Standard Diploma:
Diploma awarded to students who have mastered 11th grade minimum student performance standards, passed both sections of the High School Competency Test (HSCT or SSAT II), successfully completed the minimum number of academic credits as identified in Section 232.246, F.S., and successfully completed any other requirements prescribed by state or the local school board.a) Standard diplomas are to be recorded as W06 for high school students.b) Standard diplomas are to be recorded as W43 for adult students.

Differentiated Diploma:
Diploma awarded in lieu of the standard diploma to those students exceeding the prescribed minimums. Differentiated diplomas are to be recorded as standard diplomas (W06).

Special Diploma:
Diploma awarded to students who have been properly classified as educable mentally handicapped, trainable mentally handicapped, hearing impaired,specific learning disabled, emotionally handicapped, physically impaired, or language impaired.

Effective with the 1994-95 school year, school boards may award Special Diplomas based on two (2) options.

a) Option one shall include procedures for determining and certifying mastery of student performance standards for exceptional students as prescribed in Rule 6A-1.0996(3)-(10), FAC.
b) Option two shall include procedures for determining and certifying mastery of demonstrated employment and community competencies in accordance with Rule 6A-1.0996(12), FAC.

State of Florida Diploma (GED):
Diploma awarded to students based on the student's satisfactory completion of the General Education Development Test.

a) Diploma (W10) awarded to high school students who are enrolled in a dropout prevention program and who have successfully completed the GED. In order for a district to award a diploma under these circumstances the GED exit option must be included in the district's Dropout Prevention Plan and the student must be enrolled in a Dropout Prevention Program.
b) Diplomas awarded to adult students should be recorded as W45.
