2000-2001 SPEEDE/ExPRESS Health Screening (G99HS)

1. Record Type: G99 - This record would be sent with transactions that do not strictly adhere to any of the three approved FASTER formats (Interdistrict, Secondary, or Postsecondary).
2. National Record Type: HS - This record is used to provide the receiving institution with information concerning health screening activities.
3. The following modifications have been made to item 4, Format for Date of Health Screening:
  • Codes D6, YY, and YM are no longer valid.
  • Code DB has been added.

    Z = Zoned numeric
    P = Packed decimal

    Health screenings are identified by International Classification of Diseases (ICD) "V codes" in the range of V70 through V82.9 (Attachment 1). Also, when circumstances dictate that a procedure is for the purpose of screening, it is identified by a Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code that ranges from 00120 through 99199 and D0110 through D9310 (Attachment 2).
    4 13-15 3 A/N Format for Date of Health Screening

    This is a code which identifies the type of date being transmitted in the next field.
