Consultative Services

The Office of Equal Educational Opportunity (OEEO) provides services and information to Florida schools, school districts, parents, students, and community groups on a wide range of topics impacting educational equity on the basis of race, gender, national origin, disability, age, and marital status. OEEO assists in ensuring equity in education to enable all students to attain the highest levels of educational achievement and to provide an educational environment free of bias, stereotyping and discrimination prohibited by federal and state laws and/or regulations.

Consultative services range from answering questions on the telephone to developing and delivering a training package to address your specific needs.

  • Policy and procedures-design and evaluation
  • Needs assessment
  • Employment and admissions forms-design and evaluation
  • Design of computer recordkeeping and analysis of equity data
  • Design of data analysis models for monitoring effects of local equity strategies
  • Admissions/exit criteria-design and evaluation
  • Desegregation assistance
  • Research based decision making
