Distance Education Systemwide Interactive Electronic Newsletter
DESIEN is a searchable, interactive newsletter delivered via a discussion list. Each issue offers original articles which emphasize distance education themes or foci. News, updates, conferences, and subscriber contributions are included.

DLRN is the dissemination project for the U.S. Department of Education's Star Schools Program.
Federal Resources for Educational Excellence
FREE is a site that makes hundreds of learning resources from more than 40 federal organizations available and searchable in a centralized location. Subjects cover a wide range and include Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.
Florida Community College Distance Learning Consortium
This consortium consists of representatives from all 28 community colleges in Florida, as well as the State Board of Community Colleges. Their Distance Learning Course Catalog lists approximately 1500 distance learning courses.
Florida Virtual School
The Florida Virtual School (FLVS) officially began in August 1997 as an instructional experiment in distance learning purposed with creating high school curriculum online. Today, FLVS has evolved into a dynamic mainstream high-demand educational alternative school, serving students in grades 8 through 12.
NASAexplores
NASAexplores is a new education initiative from NASA. Its mission is to generate interest in and understanding of NASA's research and technology within the two enterprises, and to inspire the educational community by using the Internet to provide timely, quality standards-based educational materials.
National Public Radio (NPR)
NPR consists of over 600 non-commercial public radio stations. It is the world's first non-commercial satellite-delivered radio system. It provides public radio stations with programming, professional development, and program distribution.
Public Broadcasting Service (PBS)
PBS is a private, non-profit media enterprise owned and operated by the nation's 348 public television stations. Available to 99% of American homes with televisions and digital multimedia capabilities, PBS serves nearly 100 million customers.
Southeast and Initiatives Regional Technology in Education Consortium (SEIR*TEC)
SEIR*TEC is a group of national, regional, and university-based organizations. It provides technology-related assistance through awareness, policy development and planning, staff development, and evaluation.
SUNLINK
Funded by the Florida Department of Education, SUNLINK is Florida's K-12 public school union catalog, a shared database of materials in Florida K-12 library media centers. The database, distributed annually in CD-ROM format, is now available on the World Wide Web.
United States Distance Learning Association
The USDLA is a nonprofit organization formed in 1987. Its purpose is to promote the development and application of distance learning for education and training.
