Technology Integration and E-rate Program

The Technology Integration and E-rate Program provides support and resources to school districts. The Universal Service Discount Program for Schools and Libraries known as E-rate was created in 1997 to ensure that schools and libraries have affordable access to advanced telecommunications services. Under the program, discounts ranging from 20% to 90% on Telecommunication Services, Internet Access and Internal Connections are provided to elibible schools and libraries, subject to a $2.25 billion annual cap. Since 1998, Florida's schools and libraries have received more than $415 million in E-rate discounts.
