Welcome to the Bureau of Educator Certification's
on-line application for certification in Florida

You must have a valid United States social security number to apply on-line.   If you do not have a US social security number, please request an application form by mail.

You may only use this on-line application to apply for:

• an Initial Florida Temporary or Professional Certificate. Please read the information that applies to you under New Florida Certification
• renewal of your valid Florida Professional Certificate. Please read Renewing a Florida Professional Certificate

Completing Your Application On-line

1. Complete the on-line process by providing information on the following screens

2. Submit the following documentation to the Bureau of Educator Certification:

• Appropriate processing fee for each initial subject area requested
  You will be prompted to authorize payment for your online application using your or
• official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended. At least an accredited or approved bachelor's degree is required to apply for a certificate in Florida
• if applicable, a photocopy of the front and back of all valid certificate(s) you hold from other states and/or the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards(NBPTS)

For Renewal of a Professional Certificate applications

• Appropriate processing fee
  You will be prompted to authorize payment for your online application using your or
• official documentation of your renewal credit
• if applicable, a photocopy of all valid certificate(s) you hold from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS)

Your application package cannot be evaluated until it is complete and received in the Bureau of Educator Certification.
