Disaster Recovery

Disaster Recovery is primarily responsible for:

• Maintaining the overall Disaster Recovery Plan;
• Ensuring the DOE can perform its mission essential functions in the event of a disaster or disruptive event;
• Coordinating the restoration/relocation to an alternate site in the event of a disaster;
• Reviewing each section of the recovery plan annually to ensure that it continues to meet the business objectives;
• Coordinating the testing of the Disaster Recovery Plan;
• Reviewing the Plan test program annually to review test results as accomplished;
• Reviewing all recovery plan procedures semi-annually to ensure they are in an up-to-date condition and verifying that all critical resources are identified;
• Ensuring that all personnel consider recovery preparedness a part of their normal duties.
