The Florida State Board of Education invites applications for the position of Commissioner of Education for the Florida education system.

The Commissioner of Education is the chief educational officer of the state and is responsible for providing full assistance to the State Board of Education in enforcing compliance with the mission and goals of Florida’s seamless PreK-20 education system.

The Commissioner is responsible to the State Board of Education and reports to the Governor as the agency head for the Florida Department of Education.

Ray and Associates, Inc. has contracted with the State Board to facilitate identification, screening, interviewing and selection of a candidate matched to Florida’s needs and interests.
