Pierson SUBJECT: Revised 2001-02 Categorical Program Allocations for Instructional Materials, Library Media Materials, Science Lab Materials, Public School Technology, and Teacher Training Program Attached are the revised district allocations for the following categorical programs: 1. Instructional Materials, Library Media Materials, and Science Lab Materials - The second calculation updates the growth and maintenance allocations by incorporating FTE from the third 2001-02 FEFP calculation. In addition, a prior year earned versus paid adjustment, which reflects the revision of the 2000-01 district allocations for FTE from the Final 2000-01 FEFP, has been calculated. The Library Media Materials and Science Lab Materials allocations are components of the Instructional Materials allocation. District allocations are derived by prorating the total earmarked for both Library Media Materials and Science Lab Materials funds against the Instructional Materials Growth Plus Maintenance allocations. Please refer to page 2, columns 5, 6, and 7 for the Instructional Materials, Library Media Materials, and Science Lab Materials allocations, respectively. 2. Public School Technology - The second calculation incorporates FTE from the third 2001-02 FEFP calculation as the base for proration of funds. The revised allocations appear on page 5, column 5. 3. Teacher Training Program The second calculation incorporates FTE from the third 2001-02 FEFP calculation as the base for proration of funds. The revised allocations appear on page 6, column 2. Distributions derived from the revised Instructional Materials, Library Media, and Science Lab Materials allocations will begin on January 10. Distributions derived from the attached Instructional Materials, Library Media, and Science Lab Materials allocations will be the amounts paid to districts through the final payment to be made on June 10, 2002. Distributions for the revised Public School Technology allocations and Teacher Training program will begin on December 26.
