Enhancing
the College Experience
The mission of each of the 28 community
colleges reflects a commitment to provide for the educational needs and
challenges of its local citizenry. In carrying out this mission, each
institution strives to maintain the highest possible quality of education
in order to prepare students for either direct entry into the workforce
or transfer to other institutions. Increasing numbers of academically
competitive disable students are among the individuals served. The colleges
recognize that with effective support services, these students will be
able to take full advantage of the educational opportunities afforded
by community colleges.
Who is Eligible?
Students with a verifiable
disability which imposes an educational limitation are eligible. Working
with specialized personnel, students can receive assistance for a physical
