How to File a Complaint

Student Complaints

In compliance with federal guidelines, each of Florida’s Community Colleges has a process for resolving complaints internally. Before contacting the Florida Community Colleges Ombudsman office, please read your college catalog which provides instructions for filing complaints. Students are encouraged to work through the internal appeals process at their institution. If you feel that your complaint has not been addressed satisfactorily at your local institution after exhausting the college’s appeal process, you may contact the following for further assistance.

Employee Complaints

Florida’s Community Colleges are governed locally. We encourage community college employees to resolve complaints internally.

Employees are encouraged to work through the internal appeals process at their institution. If you feel that your complaint has not been addressed satisfactorily at your local institution after exhausting the college’s appeal process, you may contact the following for further assistance:
