PTK All-Florida Academic Team

Each year, a Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) All-Florida Academic Team is named to recognize outstanding students in Florida’s community colleges. This distinction is bestowed upon these students in recognition of their academic achievement, leadership, and service to the community. The All-Florida Academic Team is composed of all those students who were nominated by their respective colleges to the national All-USA Academic Team competition sponsored by USA Today and PTK International Honor Society.

The Chancellor of Florida’s community colleges, in partnership with the PTK Florida Region, Florida Association of Community Colleges and AIG Retirement corporate sponsor, hosts an annual event in Tallahassee to recognize members of the All-Florida Academic Team. Students are honored at a luncheon and awards ceremony, during which each student is presented with an All-Florida Academic Team medallion. In addition, students are recognized by the Florida Legislature and other state leaders during their visit to the Capitol. All students named to the PTK All-Florida Academic Team in a given year receive a personal invitation to attend the recognition event in Tallahassee, and they are invited to bring along up to two guests.

The purpose of this web page is to share information about the PTK All-Florida Academic Team and the related recognition event in Tallahassee.
