  • Articulation - Data reports on the articulation of community college students to public universities.
  • Facts at a Glance - Most recent official facts about Florida’s 28 community colleges.
  • Fact Book - Official facts about Florida's 28 Community Colleges including headcount, tuition & fees, and program completers.

Reports

  • Accountability - Reports (such as the Long Range Program Plan) used for accountability purposes.
  • Data Trends - Longer, research based reports that compare trends across time. Subjects are varied and relate to the needs of the Florida Community College System.
  • Fast Facts - Short, usually one page synopsis, of a subject or recent research related to the Florida Community College System.
  • Glossary & Acronyms - Definitions of terms and acronyms used by the Division of Community Colleges.
  • Program Review - In-depth review of academic programs and policies in the community colleges.
  • Research Notes/Papers - Longer, more detailed reports on items of interest to the Florida Community College System.

Florida’s Participation in External Research

  • Community College Survey of Student Engagement - Florida participated as a consortium in 2004 and is scheduled to participate in 2007.
  • Achieving the Dream - Four of Florida’s institutions (Broward, Hillsborough, Tallahassee, Valencia) are participating in a five-year project through the Lumina Foundation for Education that focuses on strategies for success for at-risk groups such as low-income and minority students. Florida is one of nine states participating in the project.
  • Community College Research Center - Participated in a study on factors that contribute to student success, and a study on successful practices. We will also work with CCRC on a project about Dual Enrollment.
  • Connections - May 2006 was the first annual Connections conference open to all 28 institutions. The conference was designed to provide information and strategies to help institutions improve connections with their diverse community college student population.
  • National Community College Benchmark Project - Florida is participating as a consortium in 2006.
  • Jobs for the Future - Participated in a study about Dual Enrollment. JFF is one of the partners on the Achieving the Dream project.
