Title I, Part A - Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged
Title I, Part A, provides local educational agencies (LEA) resources that help children get a high-quality education and the skills to pass the FCAT. Title I provides extra resources to schools with high poverty. These resources provide more teachers, teacher training, extra time for teaching, and other activities to raise student achievement. Two models are used to provide services. Schoolwide reform models give all students access to services. Targeted assistance models provide services to selected students.
