Overview of Booster Healthy School Program
Florida’s Healthy School Program (formerly known as the Partners Projects Program) completed its third year during the 2006-7 school year. For the 2004-2005 school year, 56 schools partnered with us to establish a Healthy School Team with the purpose of addressing the following five focus areas of the CSHP model:
- Physical Education
- Health Education
- Staff Wellness
- Family & Community Involvement
- Healthy School Nutrition
Florida’s CSHP supported the Healthy School Program schools with technical assistance, school-site funding, and health curriculum support through Discovery Health Connection (DHC), a web-based digital health and prevention library from Discovery Education.
