At the Florida Department of Education, the Food and Nutrition Management Office is responsible for managing funds from the USDA for child nutrition programs in the state of Florida.

Professional Development

The National Food Service Management Institute provides information, conducts applied research, and offers training and education opportunities.

The School Nutrition Association (SNA) provides educational opportunities to ensure the professional development of its members. SNA’s Certification Program is based on the standards of practice and indicators in the Keys to Excellence in School Food and Nutrition Programs that define nationally accepted standards for quality programs.
