  2. Long-term trend assessments sample students at ages 9, 13, and 17 and are conducted in reading and mathematics
  3. Subjects with an  *   indicate the years in which a new framework is planned for implementation.
  4. In the case of subjects for which frameworks are already adopted (i.e., reading, writing, math, science, the arts, U.S. history, geography, and civics) the  *   indicates the assessment year for which the Board will decide whether a new or updated framework is needed
