Test Information Guides
Test preparation guides are available to help candidates prepare for the FTCE tests. These guides are each approximately 30 pages in length and include a list of competencies and skills tested and sample test items.Please Note: The test information guide is not intended as an all-inclusive source of general knowledge, nor is it a substitute for college course work. The sample items are not an exact representation of the content of the actual test. Instead, the guide is intended to help candidates prepare for an examination by presenting an overview of the content and format of the examination.
Test Information Guides are now available for purchase online. Select the guides you would like to purchase and enter your credit card number. Your order will be downloaded to your computer.
Order forms for purchasing test information guides are provided in the FTCE Registration Bulletin and at the FTCE/FELE Program Web site.
It is to the candidate's advantage to order test information materials well in advance of the test date. Copies of FTCE test preparation materials may also be found in many Florida university libraries and in a limited number of college bookstores.
Examinees may also check the Competencies and Skills Required for Teacher Certification in Florida, Tenth and Eleventh Editions for a list of the competencies and skills for each certification examination.
