FTCE Fees Effective September 1, 2009

The following fees were approved by the State Board of Education in May 2009 as part of the amended Rule 6A-4.0021 (PDF, 64KB), Florida Administrative Code (FAC). The new fees apply to tests taken on or after September 1, 2009. For more information about the fees, refer to question 14 in the FTCE/FELE Frequently Asked Questions. The Department is currently working with the FTCE/FELE contractor, Evaluation Systems group of Pearson, to identify project costs that can be reduced and ways to ultimately reduce examinee testing fees. Thank you for your patience as we continue to research the fee reduction process and strive to provide a high quality testing program.

Payment Methods for the FTCE

If you are taking a test for the first time, you will pay the first- time fee. If you took and did not pass a test and want to retake it, you must pay the retake fee. For tests with subtests, taking any subtest is considered a first-time test, even if you did not take all of the available subtests, and you must pay the retake fee for any subtests taken at a later date. If you have any questions about fees or calculating the total amount you need to pay to register, please call the FTCE/FELE program office at (413) 256-2893 and press option 9 to speak to a representative.

Late Registration Fees: An additional charge of $15.00 is added to the required test fees for registrations that occur during the late registration period for paper-based test administrations.

Supplemental Administration Fees: An additional charge of $100.00 is added to the required test fees.

Payment of Fees

Internet Registration
Payment must be made at the time of registration using a credit card (VISA or MasterCard only) or a debit or check card that can be used without the entry of a personal identification number (PIN).
Mail Registration
Payment must be included with your completed Registration Application. Methods of payment include money order or cashier’s check (made payable to Evaluation Systems), credit card, or personal check (regular administrations only). Refer to the FTCE Registration Bulletin for step-by-step directions on completing the payment information on the Registration Application.
