The Competencies and Skills Required for Teacher Certification in Florida is a publication produced by the Florida Department of Education. It includes a comprehensive listing of the State’s requirements for demonstrating competency and knowledge in the areas of Professional Education, General Knowledge, and the subject areas listed below. The twelfth edition contains the competencies and skills approved by the State Board of Education in Spring 2007.
