Testing services, including Test Administrations, for the FTCE are provided by Evaluation Systems group of Pearson.

Please take a few minutes to fill out our online survey regarding services you have received. The information you provide will be analyzed by Program Managers at the Florida Department of Education and used for improving the FTCE testing system.

Test Development Opportunities!

For information about participating in test development activities go to http://www.floridacertexam.nesinc.com. In addition, you can take a survey to provide the Department with feedback on recently developed DRAFT competencies and skills.

Below are the letters that were sent out to all colleges of education and district superintendents for the purpose of obtaining recommendations for subject matter expert committee participation in 2010-2014 test development meetings.

Competencies and Skills

2011 EXAMS: The Competencies and Skills Required for Teacher Certification in Florida, Fifteenth Edition are used for the current Florida Teacher Certification Examinations. The Fifteenth Edition competencies and skills apply to all examinations taken through December 31, 2011.

2012 EXAMS: Revised competencies and skills for Physical Education K–12 and Health K–12 were reviewed and approved by the State Board of Education in May 2011. They will be implemented on examinations administered beginning January 1, 2012, and published in the Competencies and Skills Required for Teacher Certification in Florida, Sixteenth Edition.
