In May 2009 the State Board of Education amended Rule 6A-4.0021, Florida Administrative Code (FAC) to include an increase in registration fees for the Florida Teacher Certification Examinations (FTCE) program. The fees will apply to examinations taken on or after September 1, 2009. For more information, refer to the FTCE registration fees and payment information Web page.We Want to Hear From You!
Testing services, including Test Administrations, for the FTCE are provided by National Evaluation Systems, Inc.Please take a few minutes to fill out our online survey regarding services you have received. The information you provide will be analyzed by Program Managers at the Florida Department of Education and used for improving the FTCE testing system.
FTCE Learning Portal
The FTCE Learning Portal provides information on Florida Teacher Certification Examinations (FTCE), including exam overviews, exam length, competencies and skills required for each exam, and test information guides. Information on types of educator preparation programs and links to resources that may help you prepare for FTCE tests are also available.Competencies and Skills, Current and Draft Editions
The Competencies and Skills, Thirteenth Edition, used for the current Florida Teacher Certification Examinations, is available for viewing online.Also available online are the draft competencies and skills for 12 subject areas, to be reviewed by the State Board of Education in Spring 2009. If approved, the draft competencies and skills will be implemented on examinations administered beginning Summer 2009 and printed in the Competencies and Skills Required for Teacher Certification in Florida, Fourteenth Edition.
